11 Inclement Weather Projects to Do for Your Care Receiver

Sharing is caring!

It’s snowing, or raining, or just plain cold outside and your care receiver can’t think of any inside projects for your team to do. In this situation, it may be helpful to have a few ideas for projects ready. Here are some suggestions.

  1. Pull out the refrigerator and clean behind it. Also clean its coils. Cleaning the coils will make the refrigerator more efficient and save money.
  2. Clean the inside of the refrigerator.
  3. Sweep out the garage, if he or she has one.
  4. Change the oil and filter in the car (again, if there is a garage to do it in).
  5. Change out the central AC air filter.
  6. Change out the batteries on all smoke and CO detectors.
  7. Clean or dry clean fabric furniture.
  8. Paint interior rooms.
  9. Clean out the fireplace.
  10. Dust blinds and clean interior windows.
  11. Clean out the attic/basement.

A little imagination can help your care receiver get the most out of your team and keep you going on a regular basis, even in the worst weather.
