It’s snowing, or raining, or just plain cold outside and your care receiver can’t think of any inside projects for your team to do. In this situation, it may be helpful to have a few ideas for projects ready. Here are some suggestions.
- Pull out the refrigerator and clean behind it. Also clean its coils. Cleaning the coils will make the refrigerator more efficient and save money.
- Clean the inside of the refrigerator.
- Sweep out the garage, if he or she has one.
- Change the oil and filter in the car (again, if there is a garage to do it in).
- Change out the central AC air filter.
- Change out the batteries on all smoke and CO detectors.
- Clean or dry clean fabric furniture.
- Paint interior rooms.
- Clean out the fireplace.
- Dust blinds and clean interior windows.
- Clean out the attic/basement.
A little imagination can help your care receiver get the most out of your team and keep you going on a regular basis, even in the worst weather.
