Widows, widowers and single parents are everywhere. And Christian men are everywhere. Combine these two realities with New Commandment Men’s Ministries and the Internet, and this is why men’s team ministry to their widowed and single parents has spread all over the world.

With this in mind, here are some things you personally can do to speed the process along.

1. Forward Doing Good Well to your friends and encourage them to subscribe.

Friends trust friends. This is why friend referrals are so important. Do you have friends whom you know will benefit from Doing Good Well? Do you know someone involved in a men’s ministry that’s stuck in a rut or a church that doesn’t know how to minister to its widowed and single parents? Are you involved in a ministerial alliance? A denominational convocation? A college or seminary alumni association? Use these friend connections to forward Doing Good Well.

2. Share Doing Good Well posts on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media.

You’ve noticed by now that every Doing Good Well post, including this one, has a popout on the left side of the screen for you to share it on social media. These popouts are extremely important because they multiply the reach of Doing Good Well hundreds of times and they elevate the rating of the blog in the blogosphere.

The popouts are also easy to use. With just a couple of clicks, all your friends on Facebook, Twitter, etc., can see the post.

3. Give away your orientation DVD.

Your men’s team ministry is up and running and now the orientation DVD you used to start it is just sitting on your shelf. Consider giving it to another church in your area so they can start their own men’s team ministry. There are thousands of these DVDs in circulation now and I know through the grapevine that many churches start their men’s team ministry this way.

4. Start a new men’s team ministry when you move.

You’ve been involved in a men’s team ministry at your current church and have experienced the blessings that come from it. Now you’re moving. Use your move as an opportunity to start a men’s team ministry in your new church. A layman who has already experienced the ministry in another church is one of the best and easiest ways to start a men’s team ministry.

5. Encourage your pastor or men’s ministry leader to subscribe to Doing Good Well.

You’re on fire to start a men’s team ministry in your church but your pastor or men’s ministry leader has no idea what you’re talking about. Encourage him to subscribe to Doing Good Well. (But don’t be insistent.)

6. Comment on other blogs and mention New Commandment Men’s Ministries and Doing Good Well.

New Commandment Men’s Ministries has been around for fourteen years, but we’re relatively new to the blogosphere. Referencing New Commandment and Doing Good Well in your own comments on other blogs raises the profile of our blog.

Widows, Widowers and single parents are the people you benefit when you take these simple steps. So here’s a suggestion:

Go to New Commandment’s home page, pick out a favorite blog post, click on the popout and share it on Facebook.

You can do this.

I’m just sure of it.
