My post today is about an upcoming men’s ministry leadership conference that is dear to my heart. I discovered National Coalition of Ministries to Men (NCMM.org) by accident while researching men’s ministry on the Internet fifteen years ago. At the time, their next men’s ministry leadership conference was one month away. That year, it was in Indianapolis. As I read about it, I felt burdened by the Spirit to attend, so I did.?
When I arrived, I didn’t know a single person at the conference. So I just randomly walked up to men, introduced myself, and told them my story of how God had led me to start men’s team ministries in three different churches. All of the men I talked to responded the same way. They told me my idea of using teams of men to serve their widowed and single parents sounded like a great ministry concept, that no one else was doing that type of men’s ministry, and that I should consider doing it full time.
That conference confirmed my sense that God might be leading me into starting New Commandment Men’s Ministries. It also gave me a number of ideas and resources to get started. Since that first conference, I’ve attended all but one of NCMM’s annual conferences. New Commandment would not be the same, and might not even exist, without National Coalition of Ministries to Men.
This year, NCMM is holding its conference – called “Reload” – in Nashville, November 13-15. It’s the largest national gathering of men’s ministry leaders in the United States. If you are involved in men’s ministry, I cannot emphasize enough how important this conference is. You will be exposed to Godly men with effective men’s ministries that reach around the world.
Please take the time to check out National Coalition of Ministries to Men and its “Reload” conference.

For 15+ years I have attended NCMM national conferences. I never fail to leave with new relationships and new ideas. But mostly, it reminds me of hos God is working through so many people and ministries and that He wants men to come to Him! So if you are engaged in men’s discipleship, and you would like new friends, ideas or encouragement, join us in Nashville!
