Any Church Really Can Start a Men’s Team Ministry for One Dollar. No, Really.

Someone once asked me why we don’t just give our training material away for free. Actually, we’ve given our training material away for free to churches outside of North America for several years now. But since New Commandment Men’s Ministries has bills to pay, our 501 (c)3 relies, not only on the generosity of donors, but also on the sales of material and services to people and churches in North America to help with those bills.

That being said, the Internet has made our ministry so effecient that it really is cost effective and possible for any church to begin a men’s team ministry to their widowed and single parents for literally one dollar. Here’s how you can do it.

  1. Go to Join Now?at NewCommandment.org and select the first plan: “#1 Monthly Membership with $1 for 7 Day Trial.”
  2. Make the $1 payment.
  3. Sign in and go to Membership Home
  4. Underneath the welcome video select “Download Training Material.”
  5. Download the 80 minute orientation video: “Developing a Men’s Team Ministry to Widows, Widowers, and Single Parents.”
  6. Download the orientation workbook: “Developing a Men’s Team Ministry to Widows, Widowers and Single Parents.”
  7. Make as many copies of the workbook as you think you’ll need for your orientation.
  8. Download the devotional: “Doing Good Well: 30 Meditations of Developing a Biblical and Focused Discipline of Good Works.”
  9. Make as many copies of the devotional as you think you’ll need.
  10. Download any other material on the membership site.
  11. Cancel your membership within seven days and keep everything you download.
  12. Hold your orientation for your men.
  13. Start your men’s team ministry!
  14. Total cost: $1.

If you don’t cancel your trial membership within seven days, it will automatically convert to a monthly membership at $9.99 a month. And that’s what we hope you’ll do.

But we’ll understand if you don’t.

After serving as a pastor over a period of twenty years, Herb founded New Commandment Men's Ministries, a ministry dedicated to helping churches recruit, train, organize and deploy teams of men who permanently adopt their widowed and single parents. Herb has served as President of New Commandment since 2003 and has helped 1,000 churches develop men's team ministries in all 50 states and eight foreign countries. Herb and his wife, Patti, live in Arvada, Colorado, and have three adult children.
