On Thursday evening, March 3rd, I?ll be doing a pastors? seminar in a very special place: Lighthouse Baptist Church in Quincy, Illinois. It was during my pastorate at Lighthouse twenty years ago (Has it really been that long?!) that the Lord led me to form our men into teams of four each so that we could provide consistent ministry to our widows and single parents.

Little did I know that men?s team ministry to their widowed and single parents would soon spread to over 900 churches in dozens of denominations. Those churches are in 48 states and eight foreign countries (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Latvia, Greece, Nigeria, South Africa and Cayman Islands).

The result: Twenty years ago, we had 16 men serving four care receivers. Now there are over 18,000 men serving 7,000 care receivers!

While the upcoming seminar–entitled ?Healed Men Heal People?–is primarily for pastors and other interested men from their churches, I also want to invite all of my friends in the Tri-State area to attend as we celebrate all that the Lord has done during the past two decades.
