An object in motion tends to stay in motion, and an object at rest tends to stay at rest.” Newton’s First Law of Motion

Okay, so for years you’ve been reading my blog about the importance of meeting the pressing needs of their widowed and single parents in your church. And maybe you have done nothing about it. If so, then you, my friend, are my worst nightmare.

The reason you are my worst nightmare is because the last thing I want to do is write blog posts ad infinitum. Clearly you have a problem and that problem is inertia. Or, to paraphrase Newton, a person at rest tends to stay at rest.

When it comes to starting a men’s team ministry to their widowed and single parents in your church, the most important – and difficult – step you will take will be your first step. Start the ball rolling by contacting your pastor and/or men’s ministry leader and ask them what they think about starting a men’s team ministry.

That’s it. That’s all you have to do to break the chain of inaction that has paralyzed you. Do it now. The longer you wait, the more likely inaction will once again lull you to sleep. Stick those little turtle legs of yours out of your shell and get moving.
