New Commandment has been a member of National Coalition of Ministries to Men (NCMM) for sixteen years. NCMM played a key role in the founding of New Commandment Men’s Ministries, providing me with advice, training, encouragement and a network of fellow men’s ministry leaders who have proved invaluable over the years.
Each year, NCMM holds an annual conference in different locations for men’s ministry leaders around the country. This year, NCMM is doing something different. It’s joining with Promise Keepers in Dallas Texas for a two day conference, October 22-23.
Promise Keepers will be holding a stadium event at AT&T Stadium in Dallas-Ft. Worth in 2020 and the NCMM conference will be an excellent opportunity for PK to share its vision with major men’s ministries from around the country. PK is also very dear to my heart because it too played a critical role in the founding of New Commandment Men’s Ministries.
Keynote speakers for the National Coalition of Ministries to Men conference are Ken Harrison, the President of Promise Keepers; three-time Super Bowl champion Chad Hennings; and Todd Wagner, senior pastor of Watermark Community Church.
Another exciting opportunity for conference attendees is the workshops. A total of nineteen workshops in four breakout sessions will cover topics such as “The Power of Intergenerational Ministry,” “Event Effective Entry Points for Men,” “Equipping Men to Live with Integrity,” and “Developing Masculine Context.” I will also be doing my signature workshop on men’s team ministry to the widowed and single parents.
