Today I Start Another Chapter in My Ministry!

Sharing is caring!

I have wonderful news. Starting today – and with the approval of my board – I’m beginning a couple of major new ministry initiatives. These have come about as the result of two recent developments.

First, I’ve finished setting up my online men’s team ministry training site, Meeting to Meet Needs. This membership site took over two years to develop. It was a HUGE learning curve for me, with a lot of headaches and missteps. But I got through it and now it is up and running nicely, with a couple of dozen intrepid paying members helping me iron out the wrinkles.

Second, my home church, Crossroads Church in Northglenn, Colorado, has made a very generous donation to my ministry. This donation is going to enable me to take the ministry to a whole new level of effectiveness in two ways.

  • After a two year hiatus, New Commandment Men’s Ministries is rejoining Iron Sharpens Iron men’s equipping conferences in a more robust relationship than we had in our previous thirteen years with them. This year, we will be conference sponsors at four conferences: Omaha, Nebraska on March 2, Buffalo, New York on March 23, and two more yet to be determined conferences in the fall. Conference sponsorships will give us a much greater profile than we’ve had in the past and will enable us to introduce my membership site, Meeting to Meet Needs, in detail to every man attending the conference. (And while New Commandment will not be a conference sponsor at the ISI conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 9, my ministry associate, Peter Wielhouwer, will be doing our classic workshop there, “Mobilize Your Men to Meet Pressing Needs in Your Church”.)
  • In addition to the conferences, we are going to increase our Facebook advertising budget with a goal to have my blog read by 80,000 people by the end of the year, a goal I am already well on my way to reaching.

And don’t worry, I will still be writing this blog three times a week and adding content to Meeting to Meet Needs, such as devotionals, book quotes, interviews, men’s ministry resources, etc. So please keep me and New Commandment in your prayers as we launch out with these new opportunities.

BTW, if you live near Omaha, Nebraska; Buffalo, New York; or Grand Rapids, Michigan; join us at these conferences, drop by our booth and attend our workshops. We’d love to meet you in person. You can register for them here.
